About Me

Photographer | Journalist

Hello! My name is Ana Wombacher, and I am a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying advertising, public relations and journalism.

I am Midwest born and raised, having spent the majority of my life in the Des Moines, Iowa, area before moving to Lincoln for college.

One thing my college experience has taught me is that I love learning about people’s stories. As a news intern for Nebraska Public Media, I currently write and report on stories in the Nebraska community. When I interned for the Lincoln Calling Music Festival, I created content and photographed the event to share the stories of musicians and the festival weekend. As an orientation leader for UNL, I met thousands of students and parents and learned their stories.

I am a constant learner. Every day, there is something new to understand, and my philosophy is that the world is my oyster, so why not explore it? Even after I graduate, I will continue to search for learning opportunities.

In my free time, I enjoy collecting CDs, journaling and going on roadtrips.
